The Faerie Chronicles

The Cottingley Society formed in 2005 on a forum on Margaret Dean’s website. There, the group discussed how to further the art of fantasy photography-and their careers. As a result of these conversations the Faerie Chronicles website, with the Fantasy Photography forum, were born.
From the site’s about page:
"Distant ancestors will look intently upon the beauty
depicted in these magic pictures,
And wonder why their own ears are not pointed.
They will wonder why the ancestors had wings
To soar the skies,
While they are earthbound..."

When a visitor at the Faerie Chronicles website, you can browse photographer’s galleries, grab a new desktop background, visit the abovementioned forum, and check out the Faerie Chronicles book.
Currently featuring the work of Margaret Dean, Joseph Corsentino, and Antonia Bauerlein Sehnert, the book is a beautifully designed deep dive into the world of Fantasy Photography-surely enough to get those less familiar with the genre hooked. From this book you can see how the high tech art form can display both the more traditional aspects of fantasy art-with Margaret Dean’s classically beautiful faeries, or Sehnert’s lovely forest faeries-and the more modern day urban faeries of Corsentino. The Faerie Chronicles is a wonderful display of how fantasy photography moves fantasy art forward, but without making us leave the things we love behind.
The Fantasy Photography forum is currently working on a 2008 commercial calendar that we can all look forward to, while individual members continue to wow us with their individual projects.
These members range from those picking up cameras, to those the fantasy community is starting to recognize as photographer icons. Some of the members you may recognize include J. Corsentino of timeofthefaeries.com, Tracy L. Cornett of fantasicalphotography.com, Scott Grimando of grimstudios.com, Charlotte Bird of fairyphotographs.co.uk, and Margaret Dean of fairyphotographs.com .
