Dead Like Me: A Story About a Girl called George

by Faith McKay

Below are the top 9 reasons you should be watching the television series “Dead Like Me”.

9. Death Meetings at Der Waffle Haus – Our favorite grim reapers have their daily meetings at Der Waffle Haus. If I have to explain why that’s awesome, you just won’t get it.

8. Bryan Fuller – He created this series, co-created the great show “Wonderfalls”, and recently created the show “Pushing Daisies”.

7. Post-Its – You will never look at a yellow post-it note the same.

6. External Influence Division – This is the division of grim reapers that George is a part of, she reaps souls who have died from suicides, homicides, and accidental deaths, and one of the best parts of watching this show is trying to guess how these people will die right from the first episode. The accidental deaths can be much more complicated than you might imagine!

5. Crystal – The Happy Time receptionist surrounded by quiet mysteries! She steals office supplies, including Post-It notes.

4. Dolores Herbig – as in “her big brown eyes”.

3. Death by Toilet Seat – Possibly the first on a television series!

2. So you know what’s going on in the movie! -- That’s right, a direct-to-DVD movie will be released in the summer of 2008, and depending on the movie’s success it has been said that there are the possibilities of more movies, or the television series return.

1. “It's not so bad... being dead like me.” – George “Millie” Lass
