Terry Goodkind will be writing a new series and signed a three book deal with Putnam-however this series will be a thriller (non-fantasy). Goodkind says that he writers heroes, wherever that takes him. He also says he will not be leaving the fantasy genre forever as the genre leaves a lot of room for writing about heroes.
In Narnia news, Voyage of the Dawn Treader will be the third film in the series and is currently in pre-production with hopefully a May 2010 release date. Filming will begin in January. While the previous films have been primarily filmed in New Zealand, this film takes place on a ship for the majority of the time and thus production has moved to Rosarito, Mexico where filming will be taking place in a large water tank where films like Titanic and Master and Commander have been filmed in the past. Parts of the film will still be shot in other locations, including Australia.
Also, the Prince Caspian attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida has now opened.
