Tonks and the Aurors

Links to your music: www.myspace.com/tonksandtheaurors --We'll aslo be on iTunes very soon.

When you began: Around August 1, 2008. The myspace was created and recorded music was posted on August 5, 2008.

Members names? As of now it's just me, Steph Anderson on Guitar and Vocals. I've organized a band for Terminus though. They are: Michael Gibson on Keyboard, Jack Kelly on Bass, and Ryan Giles on Drums.

A Brief Band History: I've been a big fan of wizard rock for a while, and was always thinking about starting a band of my own. After the excitement of the Deathly Hallows release and seeing a bunch of great concerts in July, suddenly wrote two songs (I'll Be There and Werewolf Love) in one evening and after they were received well on myspace, I wrote an entire album. This year, I toured the Eastern US this past February, won the Terminus 25th Band competition, and will be releasing my second album on August 4.

What made you pick Tonks? I've always liked Tonks, and I think it's because she's got a great sense of humor and has great fashion sense. Oh, AND she's a secret agent. I wanted to be a secret agent when I was a kid, so why not have a band about one.

Albums? The Pink Album (released Nov. 2007) The Hogsmeade Diaries (to be released August 4, 2008)

Number of songs? Around 30 now, I think.

What are your personal favorite songs that you've done? This is a hard question, since I've had a lot of fun with the music for Tonks and the Aurors. Off of the Pink Album I like "Honorary Marauder" and "Werewolf Love". And so far I'm really liking "Not the Future Mrs. Weasley" and "Aberforth" off of The Hogsmeade Diaries.

What is your favorite part about the process of all that you do? I love that I can make the music I want to make. It's not stressful, I don't worry about whether people will like it or think it's lame, I just make music. Modern technology has also made the music process a lot more independent. I don't have to depend on a studio or an engineer to make music, I can just hook up my microphones and press record on my laptop.

What is the best thing that has happened to you since starting Tonks and the Aurors? Touring was a great experience, even if it was for a really short amount of time. I'd love to do it again sometime soon. I'm really looking forward to Terminus though. I'm excited to see how a large crowd reacts to the music.

Favorite book? My favorite book in the Potter series is Half Blood Prince. Outside of Potter, my favorite book has to be "Me Talk Pretty One Day" by David Sedaris.

Other Notable Projects? Tonks and the Aurors is my only music project currently. Outside of music I'm a stage manager, and will be starting my Masters degree in the fall. I'm almost always working on something.
